Cesar and The Five - Live at Open Streets Lancaster
Join Cesar and The Five as they headline Open Streets Lancaster! Hosted by Lancaster Rec and held in partnership with City of Lancaster and the Lancaster Bikes program, Open Streets Lancaster is a free family-friendly event that temporarily transforms Water Street into a paved playground. Pedestrian traffic replaces car traffic and people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can uncover new interests, discover their talents and improve their general well-being.
The route features activities promoting physical and mental health, as well as local bands and musicians, artists, food trucks and opportunities to learn about non-profits and small businesses.
Our event reimagines transportation and community connections throughout the City of Lancaster. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, blade, and skate to the event and to meaningfully meet their neighbors.
Our first Open Streets event was held in August 2014 on two City blocks and drew 1,000 attendees. In 2025, our event stretched one-mile and drew more than 8,000 community members.

West Art Welcomes Cesar and The Five & The Matt Stolarski Trio
West Art is excited to welcome Cesar and The Five to The Sanctuary for a vibrant night of jazz, Latin, and funk! The six-piece Lancaster combo, known for blending modern jazz harmony with infectious Latin rhythms and deep, dance-ready funk grooves, is excited to take the stage at their first visit to West Art. Expect timeless songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Bill Withers, and Astrud Gilberto brought to life with fresh arrangements, expressive solos, and undeniable chemistry.
Joining them is The Matt Stolarski Trio, a jazz combo based out of West Chester, PA. Expect jazz standards and some exciting, original charts written by Matt himself!
From smooth jazz ballads to groove-heavy funk and breezy bossa novas, this is a night built for music lovers who want to sit back, lean in, and feel the rhythm. Join us in The Sanctuary for an unforgettable evening of style, swing, and soul.
